Antique Silver Top & Glass Cylindrical Dressing Table Jar. The silver top has a hammer finish and is engraved with an armorial of a lion sitting on a crown. The glass body has a ribbed decoration.
Now this jar comes with an added extra. It contains a white handled brush but I am not sure what this brush would have been used for, as although it is in the shape of a toothbrush the bristles are far too big so it could be a shoe brush. The handle is inscribed “BBH Clay & Abraham Ltd Liverpool Chemists to the Late Queen Victoria”.
As this brush fits in the jar and looks as if it has been kept in it for a number of years I cannot split them so you have 2 items for the price of 1.

Dimensions: The jar is 7 inches long and 1.5 inches in diameter. The brush is 6.25 inches long
Condition: Both items are in good condition apart from a couple of minor dings to the silver top, but as this has a hammer finish they are not really noticeable.
Remarks: A nice cylindrical dressing table jar complete with an unsual brush with an inscription that would be of interest to collectors of Victorian memorabelia. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you require some additional photographs
