Silver Cased 7 Piece Manicure Set
Silver Cased 7 Piece Manicure Set. It comprises of two solid silver pull off lidded glass circular jars, the inside of the lids have a gilt lining, a silver topped nail buffer, silver handled cuticle pusher, silver handled nail cleaner, silver handled nail file and a pair of steel nail scissors which are stamped “Warranted Forged Steel”. The silver hollow handles are shaped and have pointed ends. Each piece is fully hallmarked, although the makers marks on a couple of the pieces are a little rubbed, but can still be read. This very nice set comes complete in its original fitted shaped brown box which I can best describe as having a skin like pattern to the outer covering

Condition: Overal it is in good condition, apart from the silver handle of the nail file looks as if it has been used as a hammer, as there are lots of deep little dents to one side of the handle. The other side just has a couple of very minor dents to it. There is also a small shallow dent to one of the solid silver lids of the glass jars, and the other lid has a very shallow crease to it, but again this is very very minor. The other pieces are in good condition. The front of the lid of the box is a little faded to the front part, but this is minor, and the inside is in very good conditon apart from a little light staining to the cream coloured velor where the items sit, but again this is very very minor
Remarks: This is a very nice cased seven piece silver manicure set and ideal to take with you when travelling, or a very ncie set to have in any bedroom
Antique and vintage silver by its very nature has been previously used. Silver is a comparatively soft metal and a combination of many years use invariably leaves its mark. I do endeavour to describe all items accurately but do not expect any antique to be in “as new condition”.
