Compact | Mirrors

compactThis is an example of a very good and heavy Sterling  Silver & Gilt Square Compact. It has an engine turned decoration covering the whold body and it has a decorative clasp. Open it up and it has a gilt interior and a mirror which has a gilt border. It comes complete with its guaze and flat puff and it also comes with a black felt pouch which should help protect the surface.

Assay Office: BIRMINGHAM

Date: 1966

Makers Marks: W.H.M. (W H Manton Ltd)

Dimensions: 2.5 inches square and 3/8 inch thick

Condition: Overall it is in good condition with just one minor impression and 1 little ding on the lid. There are also a couple of small areas where there is some slight discolouration. This all sounds far worse than it actually is, but I like to list my items as honestly as possible

Remarks: A very nice and sylish solid silver square compact, a nice useable item or a nice addition to any collection
