This is a very good Antique Solid Silver & Gilt Lined Lidded Box. It is rectangular in shape and has 3 winged cherubs embossed on the lid and then to the sides there is an embossed pattern of leaves and stems and then in the middle of the two long sides is another cherub. When the hinged lid is opened it reveals a gilt interior. It is made from a good guage and has clear hallmarks

Remarks: A very good antique solid silver lidded box, ideal for storing little trinkets, hair accessories, small pieces of jewellery etc and made by a very desirable maker
Antique and vintage silver by its very nature has been previously used. Silver is a comparatively soft metal and a combination of many years use invariably leaves its mark. I do endeavour to describe all items accurately but do not expect any antique to be in “as new condition”.
