It is of a very characterful pear shape and has 8 convex wide panels around the body which is mirrored on the domed hinged lid and also a panelled pattern to the spout. It has a mid brown simulated wooded question mark shaped handle and decorative finial. It has a raised base rim so it stands proud of any surface and is made from a good guage of silver and is therefore of a good weight and it has clear hallmarks for BIRMINGHAM 1924/25 with Silver Makers Marks: A Bros Ltd (Adie Brothers Ltd). |
