This is a very good Silver Plated Large & Heavy Coffee Pot. It is of a boat shape having a bulbous bottom half and a narrow shaped neck. It has an oval base and a black simulated wooden handle and finial. It is of a good weight
Identifying Marks: It is stamped on the base “Corporate Mark” a crown “Alpha Granted By The Cutlers Company 1836 Alpha Plate Viners of Sheffield England” and dates it between 1925 – 1974
Dimensions: 9.25 inches tall to the top of the finial, 1075 inches long from spout to handle, the actual body 6 inches long at its longest and 4.25 inches wide at its widest. It weighs 690g
Condition: It is in very good condition with just some very light surface scratching, which is only to be expected on a metal item, but this is minor and commensurate with age and use. It is also a little stained inside
Remarks: This is very good silver plated large and heavy coffee pot, that would look elegant in any home, and when not in use makes a very impressive display item
