Antique Silver Ewer Shaped Jug. It has a wide lip with a narrow neck and then a bulbous body which has a half reeded pattern. It has a raised circular pedestal base and a long question mark shaped handle which has a graduated beaded pattern running down the centre. It is made from a good guage of silver and has clear hallmarks

Dimensions: 7.5 inches tall to the top of the handle, just under 4.75 inches wide from lip to handle and the body is 3.25 inches in diameter at its widest point. It weighs 288g
Condition: There is evidence of a repair to the side of the jug on the main manufacturing seam where there has been a slight impression ( please view the image at the bottom left hand side of this page which you can enlarge by clicking once then once displayed click again for the full size image). There are also a few black specs inside the jug at the base but these will come out with additional cleaning during use.
Remarks: This is a lovely antique solid silver ewer shape jug, ideal for milk, water, small quantity of wine, or it would make a lovely jug for serving custard, dessert cream or even gravy. When not in use it would make a pretty display item, and you could even use it as a vase for flowers
Antique and vintage silver by its very nature has been previously used. Silver is a comparatively soft metal and a combination of many years use invariably leaves its mark. I do endeavour to describe all items accurately but do not expect any antique to be in "as new condition".
