Fish Servers Hallmarks London 1898
This is a superb Cased Set of Antique Victorian Silver Good Sized and Heavy Fish Servers. It consists of the slice and a 5 wide pronged fork. Both items have wide thick hollow handles with a lined pattern and embossed shell shaped terminals on both sides. The blade of the slice and neck of the fork have an engraved lined decoration outlining the shape which adds to the quality and look. Both the blade of the slice and the neck of the fork have clear hallmarks, and both the handles are stamped with the lion passant. They come in their original heavy red box which is stamped in the inside lid “From Fortum & Masons Gift Department”.

Dimensions: The Slice is 12 inches long and just under 2 inches wide at its widest point. The Fork is 10 inches long and the prongs are 2 inches wide. Both items weigh a total of 350g (complete with the box this set weighs 947g)
Condition: Both items are in super condition and so too is the box inside and out
Remarks: This really is a lovely cased set of antique Victorian 111 year old solid silver fish servers of great quality and condition and if you are particularly looking for a set then these would be hard to beat
Antique and vintage silver by its very nature has been previously used. Silver is a comparatively soft metal and a combination of many years use invariably leaves its mark. I do endeavour to describe all items accurately but do not expect any antique to be in “as new condition”.
