Bon Bon Dishes In Sterling Silver. This is a very pretty Pair of Antique Solid Silver Bon Bon Dishes. They are circular in shape with wavy undulating sides and rims and they have a very pretty embossed floral pattern surrounding the sides and rims with the base being plain. They have import marks for:
Assay Office: BIRMINGHAM
Date: 1904/05
Makers Marks: G.M.Co (Gorham Manufacturing Co)
Dimensions: 5.5 inches in diameter, 1 inch tall. They weigh a total of 125g
Condition: Overall they are in good condition with just some minor pin prick dings and very light surface scratching to the bases which is only to be expected on a metal item
Remarks: These really are very pretty and ideal little serving dishes for sweets, after dinner chocolates, nuts etc. They would also be ideal to place in the centre of a table for guests to dispose of olive stones, pips etc and when not in use make lovely display items
Antique and vintage silver by its very nature has been previously used. Silver is a comparatively soft metal and a combination of many years use invariably leaves its mark. I do endeavour to describe all items accurately but do not expect any antique to be in “as new condition”.
