This is a sweet little Solid Silver Swing Handled Circular Butter Dish with Glass Liner. The outer solid silver little shallow circular swing handled dish is very plain, but the lovely cut glass lining dish is very pretty, having a diamond pattern to the sides and a large star shape to the base. It has clear hallmarks.

Dimensions: The outer silver dish is 3.5 inches in diameter, 2.5 inches tall when the handle is in the upright position and 0.25 inch tall. The cut glass lining dish is 2.75 inches in diameter and 0.5 inch tall. The silver weighs 33g
Condition: It is in very good condition, but if I had to be extrememly critical then there a couple of very very small pin pin size dings and a little very shallow, very short ding to the base (although none of these can be seen when the glass dish is in place). There is also a very small ding to the rim, but again this is very very minor and it all sounds far worse than it actually is, but I do try to list my items as accurately as possible
Remarks: This is a very sweet little solid silver and glass swing handled butter dish, that would also make an ideal little dish to put in the centre of the table for olive, cherry stones etc. It will also be of interest to collectors of Chester silver
Antique and vintage silver by its very nature has been previously used. Silver is a comparatively soft metal and a combination of many years use invariably leaves its mark. I do endeavour to describe all items accurately but do not expect any antique to be in “as new condition”.
