Pedestal Bowl Silver Hallmarks Sheffield 1929
This is a lovely Solid Silver Pedestal Bowl/Dish. It is circular in shape with a wavy rim which has an embossed lined decoration following the outer edge and is has a circular pedestal base. In addition to the hallmarks it has stamped “RG 691755″.

Makers Marks: H.A. (Atkin Brothers (Henry Atkin)
Dimensions: 4.25 inches tall, 5.25 inches wide with the top opening being just under 7 inches in diameter and the base 3.5 inches in diameter. It weighs 284g
Condition: Overall it is in very good condition with just a very tiny pin prick ding and one very very small shallow crease to the inside of the base,but this is very minor and really only noticeable on very close inpsection
Remarks: A very pretty solid silver pedestal dish/bowl that would make a lovely centrepiece or display item on a sideboard. It would make an ideal small fruit bowl or an impressive serving dish for vegetables, cream, fresh fruit, stacked with profiteroles, sweet dish etc
Antique and vintage silver by its very nature has been previously used. Silver is a comparatively soft metal and a combination of many years use invariably leaves its mark. I do endeavour to describe all items accurately but do not expect any antique to be in “as new condition”.
