This is a very good Antique Solid Silver Fish Slice. It has an attractive pierced decoration to the slice and a fiddle pattern handle. It is made from a good guage of silver and has crisp clear hallmarks. The handle does have 3 entwined initials in very fancy lettering and they are difficult to make out but they could be “FJC”
Assay Office: LONDON
Date: 1825
Makers Marks: WK (possibly William Knight)
Dimensions: 11 inches long, the actual slice 6 inches long and 2.5 inches wide. It weighs 126g
Condition: It is in very good condition
Remarks: A very good antique solid silver 184 year old fish slice. A very useable item and a must for any fish eater
Antique and vintage silver by its very nature has been previously used. Silver is a comparatively soft metal and a combination of many years use invariably leaves its mark. I do endeavour to describe all items accurately but do not expect any antique to be in “as new condition
