Sterling Silver Forks

Sterling Silver Forks. This is a lovely Set of 6 American /Canadian? Sterling Solid Silver 925 Standard Table /Dinner Forks. The pattern which is on both sides of the handles is very similar to the UK Queen’s pattern and with some research they are also very similar to the Queens Roden Sterling Tornto pattern. The pattern is very decorative and also extends to the backs of the forks just underneath the prongs. They each have a faint initial of “J” (I think) engraved in Old English script , but this is very faint and really hardly noticeable, but ideal if your first or surname begin with this letter. They are made from a good guage of silver and are therefore quite heavy

Identifying Marks: They are each stamped with a lion and then a couple of other marks which are a little distorted, although I do have other pieces of this cutlery listed separately where the marks are a little clearer and one of the marks is “925″. They are also stamped with clear marks of “Sterling” and “Johnston Brothers”

Dimensions: 7.75 inches long and they weigh a total of 495g

Condition: They are all in very good condition with just some light surface scratching which is only to be expected on useable metal items

Remarks: These really are very good set of 6 solid silver table/dinner forks and as mentioned above, I do have other pieces in this pattern listed separately in this section of my ebay shop, so if you would like to start collecting a solid silver canteen of cutlery or add to one, then please do not miss them
