Knives

knivesThis is an example of a Good Cased Set of 6 Solid Silver Handled Tea/Butter Knives. They have double raised lines which look like piping following the outline of the shaped handles, interspersed with a small embossed pattern, which I can best describe as an “x”. Each handle has clear hallmarks and they have silver plated flat rounded blades. They come in their original box

Assay Office: SHEFFIELD

Date: 1917

Makers Marks: C.W. F (C W Fletcher & Son Ltd (Charles William Fletcher)

Dimensions: 6.25 inches long in total, the solid silver handles and collars are just over 3 inches long and 0.5 inch wide at their widest point

Condition: They are in good condition with just a few very minor dings on the handles and a couple of the blades have very minor plate loss to the very edges, but this is very minor and commensurate with age and use

Remarks: A good cased set of 6 solid silver butter/tea knives
