Silver Sauce Ladle. It has the Old English pattern to the back of the handle and is made from a good guage of silver and has clear hallmarks for SHEFFIELD 1967/68 with Silver Makers Marks: P & S (Payne & Son)
It is 6 inches long in total, the bowl 1.75 inches in diameter and 0.75 inch deep. It weighs 47g.
It is in very good condition with just some light surface scratching which is only to be expected on a metal item, but this is minor and commensurate with age and use.
A very nice good size solid silver sauce ladle that would look impressive to serve the cranberry, mint, horseraddish, apple, tartare sauce etc from a solid silver sauceboat (please see the ones that I have listed in the “Sauce Boat” section of this website)
