Antique Georgian Silver Salts. They are of a compressed circular shape and have gilt interiros. They have a gardrooned pattern to the top rims and they stand on 3 hoof feet. They are made from a good guage of silver and have clear hallmarks
Assay Office: LONDON
Date: 1781/82
Makers Marks: CH (Charles Hougham)
Dimensions: 2.25 inches in diameter and 1.25 inches tall. They weigh a total of 84g
Condition: Overall they are in very good condition, but there is a slight leg impression to the inside of one, but this is minor and there is also some light surface scratching which is only to be expected on metal items but again this is minor and commensurate with age and use
Remarks: This really is a good pair of good size antique Georgian 230 year old solid silver circular salts, that would equally make good mustards and they would also be perfect to serve small, individual amounts of sauces, such as horseraddish, tartare, mint, cranberry, apple sauce etc. Perfect for that special meal. They will also be of interest to collectors of good Georgian silver.
Non EU buyers are reminded they are liable for any local customs duties or tax
