Set of 4 Silver Scottish Salts. They are of a good size and I can best describe them as being circular with a nipped in middle. They are completely plain with just a lined decoration around the top and the base and they are made from a good guage of silver. They each come complete with their blue glass liner. In addition to the crisp clear hallmarks each are stamped on the base with the makers marks “Brook & Son 97 George Street Edinburgh”.
Assay Office: EDINBURGH
Date: 1932/33
Makers Marks: Brooke & Son
Dimensions: 1.5 inches in diameter and 1.25 inches tall. They silver (without the glass liners) weighs 5.25 oz (150g)
Condition: They are all in very good condition with just one very very minor ding the rim of one of the salts but this is very very small and one of the blue glass liners has a little nibble to the top rim but this is very minor
Remarks: This is a very nice set of 4 solid silver salts that will be of particular interest to collectors of scottish solid silve
Antique and vintage silver by its very nature has been previously used. Silver is a comparatively soft metal and a combination of many years use invariably leaves its mark. I do endeavour to describe all items accurately but do not expect any antique to be in “as new condition”.
