Silver Salver Dublin. It has a pretty celtic strapwork border around the wavy rim and it has 4 very decorative feet which I can best describe as being mythical fish. It is made from a good guage of silver and although the hallmarks are a bit rubbed they can all be read. There is an additional mark which is The Sword of Light mark which was struck to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of the 1916 Rising
Assay Office: Dublin
Date: 1966
Makers Marks: A & M (Alwright & Marshall)
Dimensions: 10.25 inches in diameter and it stands 1 inch tall. It weighs 558g
Condition: Overall it is in very good condition, apart from a pin prick ding and some light surface scratching which is only to be expected on a metal item, but this is minor and commensurate with age and use.
Remarks: This is a lovely solid silver Irish salver that would look very impressive on any sideboard or table displaying a decanter and glasses or it would make an impressive serving platter.
