Antique Silver Sauce Boat Hallmarks Birmingham 1902
This is a very good Antique Solid Silver Sauce Boat. It is of a circular shape and has a card cut rim and a wide lip. It has 3 shell capped hoof feet and a leaf capped question mark shaped handle. It is made from a good guage of silver and has clear hallmarks. As you can see in the photograph it does have a fancy letter "F" engraved in the lower part of the body, so ideal if your forename or surname begin with this letter. This to me is the back of the sauce boat as the handle is to the left, but turn it around and the other side is plain.

Dimensions: 5 inches long from lip to handle, the actual body is 2.75 inches in diameter and it is 3 inches tall, to the top of the handle. It weighs 84g
Condition: It is in very good condition, apart from a pin prick size ding to the front (the side without the monogram) but this is very minor. It also has some very light surface scratching, which is only to be expected on a metal item, but again this is minor and commensurate with age and use
Remarks: A very good antique solid silver sauce boat, that would complete any dinner table to serve, cranberry, mint, apple, horseraddish, tartare sauce etc. A solid silver sauce ladle is a must to go with it, so please see the ones that I have listed in the "ladle" section of my shop
