Sterling Silver Sauce Boat. It has a card cut rim with a wide lip and it stands on 3 pad feet. It has clear hallmarks
Assay Office: SHEFFIELD
Date: 1936/37
Makers Marks: E.V (Viner’s Ltd – Emile Viener/Viner)
Dimensions: 5.75 inches long from lip to handle, 3.5 inches wide at its widest part and 3 inches tall to the top of the handle. It weighs 109g
Condition: It is in very good condition, with just some light surface scratching which is only to be expected on a metal item, but this is minor and commensurate with age and use
Remarks: A very good solid silver sauceboat that would look impressive on any table filled with horseraddish, cranberry, mint, apple, tartare sauce etc (please see the solid silver sauce ladles that I have listed in the “Ladle” section where you will find one which would be perfect to use with this sauce boat). I do have a very similar sauce boat listed, so if you would like an almost matching pair, then please do not miss it
