Antique Silver Georgian Basting Spoon. It has a thread pattern to the front of the handle with the Old English pattern to the back. It is made from a good guage of silver and has clear hallmarks
Assay Office: LONDON
Date: 1791
Makers Marks: IB unable to accurately identify as there are quite a few makers who used this mark and it is impossible to confirm which one this is
Dimensions: Just over 11.75 inches long in total, the bowl just over 3.25 inches long and 2 inches wide at its widest. It weighs 91g
Condition: It is in very good condition
Remarks: This is a very good antique Georgian solid silver 219 year old basting spoon, with plenty of years use left, or a very good addition to any collection of Georgian solid silver
Antique and vintage silver by its very nature has been previously used. Silver is a comparatively soft metal and a combination of many years use invariably leaves its mark. I do endeavour to describe all items accurately but do not expect any antique to be in “as new condition”.
