Antique Victorian Silver Large Caddy Spoon Or Sugar Spoon. It has a long fiddle pattern handle with the Old English pattern to the back and a shovel shaped bowl. It is made from a good guage of silver and has very crisp clear hallmarks. It does have very fancy entwined initials in fancy writing which I think are “AEH”.
Assay Office: LONDON
Date: 1897/98
Makers Marks: Charles Boyton
Dimensions: 5.75 inches long, the bowl 1.75 inches long and 1.25 inches wide. It weighs 1 oz (28g)
Condition: It is in very good condition
Remarks: This is a very good antique solid silver large Victorian 112 year old caddy spoon/sugar spoon and a lovely addition to any collection
Antique and vintage silver by its very nature has been previously used. Silver is a comparatively soft metal and a combination of many years use invariably leaves its mark. I do endeavour to describe all items accurately but do not expect any antique to be in “as new condition”.
