Silver Caddy Spoon Shell Shape.
Assay Office: Sheffield
Date: 1924
Makers Marks: William Hutton & Sons Ltd
Dimensions: It measures approximately 2.75 inches long, the bowl measures approximately 1.25 inches long and 1.5 inches wide and the wide handle measures just over 1.25 inches wide.
Condition: This little caddy spoon is good condition with just some very light surface scratching which is only to be expected on a metal item, but this is minor and commensurate with age and use.
Remarks: The attractive shell shaped bowl culminates in a wide plain handle, ideal for holding the spoon. A very nice addition to any collection.
Antique and vintage silver by its very nature has been previously used. Silver is a comparatively soft metal and a combination of many years use invariably leaves its mark. I do endeavour to describe all items accurately but do not expect any antique to be in “as new condition”.
