Silver Gilt Plus Yellow Enamel Preserve Spoon

Silver Gilt Plus Yellow Enamel Preserve Spoon IMG 6922 300x199 Silver Gilt Plus Yellow Enamel Preserve SpoonSilver Gilt Plus Yellow Enamel Preserve Spoon.  It has a fairly shallow almost circular bowl and then the lovely yellow enamel runs all the way up the front of the handle (the back is completely plain).  It comes in a box which is stamped inside the lid “Zerssen & Co” and although it fits very well I cannot confirm if this is an original box.  The spoon is made from a good guage of silver and has clear Danish marks which read “ELa” for the maker Egon Lauridsen which dates it between 1936-1966, “Denmark Sterling 925S” and then it has import marks for LONDON 1977   Silver Makers Marks: C M & Co.

It measures just over 5 inches long in total, the bowl being 1.5 inches long and 1.25 inches wide at its widest point.  It weighs 19g

It is in very good condition with no enamel loss

A very good boxed Danish silver gilt and yellow enamel preserve spoon that would look pretty on any table to serve the jams or pickles.
