Pair of Antique Victorian Silver Salt Spoons

Pair of Antique Victorian Silver Salt Spoons 200911 39 300x160 Pair of Antique Victorian Silver Salt SpoonsPair of Antique Victorian Silver Salt Spoons. They are of a good size and I can best describe them as having a French look to them, with a decorative engraved pattern to the front of the handles and ornate pointed terminals (the backs are plain). They have oval shaped bowls. The terminals do have engraved fancy letters which I think are “MEW”. They are made from a good guage of silver and have clear marks.

Assay Office: BIRMINGHAM

Date: 1868/69

Makers Marks: G.U (George Unite & Sons)

Dimensions: 3.25 inches long in total, the bowls being 0.5 inch long and 1 inch wide. They weigh a total of 13g

Condition: They are in very good condition

Remarks: A very nice pair of antique Victorian good size salt spoons. I do have an identical pair of these, so ideal if you would like another pair and have four good sized salts

Antique and vintage silver by its very nature has been previously used. Silver is a comparatively soft metal and a combination of many years use invariably leaves its mark. I do endeavour to describe all items accurately but do not expect any antique to be in “as new condition”.
