6 Exeter Silver Teaspoons. They have a pretty beaded edge which runs around the outline of the handle on both sides and have the Old English pattern to the back. They are made from a good guage of silver and have clear hallmarks
Assay Office: EXETER
Date: 1869/70
Makers Marks: JW & JW (Josiah Williams & Co – James & Josiah Williams)
Dimensions: 5.25 inches long, the bowls just under 2 inches long and just over 1 inch wide at their widest and they weigh a total of 122g
Condition: They are all in very good condition
Remarks: This really is a very good set of 6 antique solid silver teaspoons, ideal for use and will be of particular interest to collectors of Exeter silver
Antique and vintage silver by its very nature has been previously used. Silver is a comparatively soft metal and a combination of many years use invariably leaves its mark. I do endeavour to describe all items accurately but do not expect any antique to be in “as new condition”.
