The strainer has a very pretty embossed leaf and scroll decoration to the front of the handle and the resting handle. The rim also has a pretty pattern running around it. The whole of the bowl has strainer holes which is quite unusual and not just the base. The circular cauldron shaped stand/bowl has 3 paw feet which are shell capped at the top of the legs where they meet the body. It is made from a good guage of silver and both pieces have clear hallmarks for SHEFFIELD 1975
