Silver Tea Strainer with Matching Stand. The strainer has a very pretty embossed leaf and scroll decoration to the front of the handle and the resting handle. The rim also has a pretty pattern running around it. The whole of the bowl has strainer holes which is quite unusual and not just the base. The circular cauldron shaped stand/bowl has 3 paw feet which are shell capped at the top of the legs where they meet the body. It is made from a good guage of silver and both pieces have clear hallmarks for SHEFFIELD 1975 with Silver Makers Marks: JNL
The strainer is 6.25 inches long in total, the bowl being 2.25 inches in diameter and 0.75 inch deep. The stand is 2.5 inches in diameter and 1.5 inches tall. The total weight of silver is 102g
Both pieces are in very good condition with no dings or dents.
This really is a very pretty solid silver tea strainer and stand/bowl and a must for any leaf tea drinker.
