Antique Victorian Silver Short Pedestal Posy Vase. It has a tapering body which has panels which are heavily embossed with flowers and scrolls. Just under the rim, there is an engraved border pattern and also an engraved circular pattern following the top outine of the panels. It has a stepped lined pattern to the spreading circular base. It is made from a good guage of silver and has clear hallmarks

Dimensions: 3.75 inches tall, the top opening 3.75 inches in diameter and then tapers down to quite a narrow base. The actual circular base is 2.5 inches in diameter. It weighs 153g
Condition: It is in very good condition with just some light surface scratching to the pedestal base which is only to be expected on a metal item, but this is minor and commensurate with age and use, and also if you look very closely the base rim is a little mis-shapen in a couple of places, but again this is minor and only noticed on very close inspection
Remarks: A very pretty antique Victorian solid silver short pedestal vase, that would look impressive in any home and would be enhanced by a posy of fresh or dried flowers. You could also use it as a very posh plant holder, that would make a very pretty display item all year round
