Hip Flask Hallmarks London 1911 By Asprey
This is good Antique Solid Silver Hip Flask. It is of a rectangular cushion shape and a circular screw and pull off hinged lid which has cork inset into the inside. It has a gilt interior and is made from a good guage of silver. The lid does have a crown and thick 4 entwined initials in Old English Script (some also have a lined pattern) which I think are “MPCI”. It has clear hallmarks and is also stamped on the base “Asprey Bond St”.

Dimensions: 5.5 inches tall, 3 inches wide and 1 inch thick. It weighs 147g
Condition: It does have a few shallow dings over the body, but they are minor, and it also has some light surface scratching, which is only to be expected on a metal item, but this is minor and commensurate with age and use
Remarks: This is a very good quality solid silver hip flask and a lovely item to carry around in a pocket or bag filled with your favourite tipple
Antique and vintage silver by its very nature has been previously used. Silver is a comparatively soft metal and a combination of many years use invariably leaves its mark. I do endeavour to describe all items accurately but do not expect any antique to be in “as new condition”.
