Antique Silver Inkstand with a Single Glass & Silver Lidded Inkwell.
The Inkstand is a boat shaped design and has pierced galleried sides and a beaded rim and it stands on 4 pad feet. The glass inkwell has a thick ribbed pattern design surrounding the body. and the solid silver lid also has the beaded rim. The base of the inkwell protrudes so it fits snuggly into the hole of the inkstand and therefore cannot be tipped over.

Dimensions: 9 inches long, 3.25 inches wide and 3 inches tall to the top of the inkwell. The actual inkwell measures 2.5 inches wide and 2.75 inches tall. The stand weighs 106g
Condition: Overall in very good condition considering its 98 years of age, but there are a few small dings to the base and a couple of discolouration spots. There is also one very very small nibble in one of the ribbed lines at the back of the glass inkwell, but again this is only minor
Remarks: A very nice stylish inkwell that would grace any desk and because of its shape would not take up much space. This will be of particular interest to collectors of Chester silver
