Inkwell In Antique Silver Capstan Shaped. It if of a plain design with just a lined pattern around the hinged lid and around the large circular weighted base,which is covered on the underside with a black material. It comes with a clear glass liner and is made from a good guage of silver with clear hallmarks

Dimensions: 2.75 inches tall, the diameter of the lid is 2.25 inches and the diameter of the base is just under 5 inches. It weighs a total of 418g (but the shallow base is weighted)
Condition: There is a shallow dent to the top of the lid and a few pin prick dings to the base, but all this is minor
Remarks: A very good useable silver capstan inkwell, that would look impressive on any desk
Antique and vintage silver by its very nature has been previously used. Silver is a comparatively soft metal and a combination of many years use invariably leaves its mark. I do endeavour to describe all items accurately but do not expect any antique to be in “as new condition”.
