Vinaigrette Hallmarks Birmingham 1809 By Samuel Pemberton
This is a Large Antique Georgian Rectangular Solid Silver Vinaigrette. It is very decorative and has a pretty engraved leaf pattern on the top of the lid with an engraved border around the edge and then a larger leaf pattern on the base again with the engraved pattern around the border. It has a very pretty flower and leaf gilt grille and a gilt interior. It does have an engraved cartouche which has fancy letters which reads (I think as the letters are very fancy) “From AH to GS 1820″. I have to emphasise that this is a large and slim vinaigrette with clear hallmarks and made from a good guage of silver

Dimensions: 1.75 inches long, 1.25 inches wide and 0.25 inches thick. It weighs 30g
Condition: Considering this vinaigrette is 200 years old it is in very good condition with just a few minor dings and dents. The hinge is fine and it shuts nice and tightly
Remarks: This really is a very good antique Georgian large vinaigrette which is very decorative. A lovely addition to any collection
