Antique Silver - Why you should buy

Why Buy Antique Silver?

I often get asked why I specialise solely in silver. A short easy answer would be because “I love it”. There are many more good reasons to purchase and own silver than mere passion alone.

As an investment, silver is a lot safer than the Stock Market, poorly managed Building Societies, holiday homes abroad and many more that I could list here. I was an investor in Railtrack before Stephen Byers pulled the plug and have also lost money in other share dealing. It is a question of risk. Why take unnecessary risks? Silver is a much safer bet as you can identify its age, manufacturer and quality by the hallmarking system. English hallmarks are a unique system which clearly identify the item you are buying. For more information on hallmarking visit my British Hallmarks  and European Hallmarks page
Investing in silver has added advantages. Many items are useable every day (you can’t eat your dinner with a share certificate!). Choose your silver wisely and you can build up a collection of useable items which will impress your friends, family and guests. Silver always has a value as a Commodity, even a value as scrap metal. Visit  Kitco.com  for the latest Silver prices. As an investment it is easy to build a collection of heirlooms to pass on to your children and future generations. Remember we are only temporary owners of these items of beauty.

Buying silver is also environmentally friendly. Antique silver has lost its carbon footprint many years ago when it was first manufactured. When purchasing antique silver you are avoiding harmful modern manufacturing techniques and reducing the pollution of the environment.

Of course it helps if you love silver as I do. It has a feel, look and presence like nothing else. Go on buy some silver now and start or add to your collection. You will be glad you did.

Thank you for reading

Regards

Steve
